WOOD WOOD releases its Autumn/Winter 2022 collection, featuring a collaboration with artist Tal R
The Autumn/Winter 2022 collection from WOOD WOOD, which marks the Copenhagen-based streetwear label’s 20th anniversary, is centred around creative vibrance and collaboration for which the brand is well-known. Previous collaborators count the likes of Nike, Disney, and Barbour, as well as independent artists such as Eric Elms.
Danish painter Tal R invited WOOD WOOD to explore his extensive archive for this collection. As a result, select works were reworked and applied to pieces within the collection. This includes the Cowi vogel cardigan, an oversized addition in all-over jacquard made from Italian yarn. Workwear- inspired denim was a pivotal element of this collection: introducing a relaxed-fit boilersuit for women and a two-piece set for men in a black wash, featuring laser-engraved artwork by Tal R. The artwork further applied to a nylon patch bomber in an oversized, vintage-like silhouette: a nod to WOOD WOOD’s streetwear traditions with embroidered patches on the rear.
Technical accessories and outerwear styles added a traditional sportswear element to the collection but with contemporary adjustments. The Quilo eco-tech jacket is a seasonal menswear addition constructed in Japanese ripstop fabric with RDS-certified down. For women, the statement Helena jacket in dark-brown shearling leather completes the collection, making for a standout silhouette.
The WOOD WOOD Autumn/Winter 2022 collection is NOW available in-store and on woodwood.com
