As the artist’s feature coincides with International Women's Month, we wanted to know how she can make an impact as a female artist…

“For me, the ‘personal is political and in my case it is feminism. I believe what we do best comes from the heart. In this short film of female mannequins, it is as if the mannequin can be seen afresh and repaired by the female gaze. I was reluctant to use mannequins at first as imagery in my work because I thought they would portray a female subject in a way that I did not want.  However, I think a female gaze can breathe new life into the old subject matter and in this way make an impact.”
